Editor Michael Feldman does a great job explaining what the service is and how it works. - Houston, TX - August 17, 2010 At last month's Houston SharePoint User Group meeting, X-ISS's resident SharePoint expert Sean Closson gave a presentation on Integrating SharePoint with HPC08. Windows HPC Server 2008 is a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster solution from Microsoft. In this session Sean showed what is needed to configure SharePoint as a front end to submit and manage jobs on an HPC08 cluster. A demonstration was performed showing the integrated solution and a few example jobs. Also discussed were the benefits that integrating SharePoint with HPC08 will have for workspaces, workflows, and team collaboration.
