This document describes the installation and configuration of a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster for a dual boot of Windows^® Compute Cluster Server (WCCS) and Rocks Cluster Distribution (formerly called NPACI Rocks), an open source Linux distribution intended for HPC clusters. The method described in this white paper focuses on manipulating a node’s master boot record (MBR) and boot loader. You can use this document as a guide for setting up your own dual-boot cluster, although you may need to modify the procedures described here according to your own particular hardware and software configurations.
