Position Summary:
Sells company's services and products to new and current users in the Houston area through direct, face-to-face contact. Maintains an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets. Essential Functions: - Sells services/products to new and/or current customers to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.
- Contacts prospective customers to determine service/product needs and performs sales presentations to match company's products with identified needs.
- Remains knowledgeable of company's products to facilitate sales efforts.
- Participates in sales forecasting and planning.
- Maintains sales records and prospect database.
- Provides follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and/or services provided.
Essential Qualifications: - A Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
- Successful business development skills to include prospecting, closing, and proposal writing.
- Three plus years of sales experience with a technology organization selling IT related services/products in medium sized companies.
- Experience developing and delivering sales presentations and closing sales in a professional and effective manner. IT knowledge and basic understanding of systems, networks and security.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Consultative sales experience.
- Good cognitive and listening skills along with the ability to manage time and events with minimum supervision.
- Experienced computer skills and sales tracking tools.
- Ability to travel when required.
